To improve  the dewatering by centrifuge or belt-press,  Rhenipal has developed its own sludge conditioning process. A low addition of RHENIPAL-A added to the wet sludge prior to dewatering will achieve a substantial increase in the dry substance of the dewatered cake.  By the addition of RHENIPAL-A a reduction in the polymer addition rate is made possible whilst maintaining the same end result in the dry substance of the sludge cake.
