DIRK has developed close links to a number of European Universities with special research departments and with specialised consultants to assist the in-house team.

Current projects funded by the European Union are research projects for the re-use of certain paper pulp materials and waste from the leather tanning industry. Work has been carried out for governmental bodies in Portugal and for industrial clients all over Europe
